Manchester City have recently seen another summer transfer window come and go.

In their latest period of summer transfer activity, City saw numerous players make moves in and out of the Etihad Stadium.

Specifically, the Blues brought in Savinho and Ilkay Gundogan as well as cashing in on Julian Alvarez, Joao Cancelo, Sergio Gomez and Liam Delap among others.

The Manchester club were also linked with moves for several other players across Europe’s top five leagues.

In fact, some behind-the-scenes details have come to light regarding the club’s stance on one particular player they were linked with earlier this year.

Man City still tracking Jamal Musiala for potential 2025 summer transfer move

According to a recent report from GIVE ME SPORT, City have “put plans in place to continue tracking” Jamal Musiala for the remainder of the season “in case there is scope” for the Manchester club to work out a potential deal for the midfielder next summer.

The report also adds that landing a deal for the German could be difficult as Bayern would not want to consider selling him.

Musiala would be a star signing for City

Back in April, it was reported by The Guardian that Musiala was a top target for City during the recent summer window, although a move didn’t materialise.

After seeing the 21-year-old perform in the 2024 European Championship, Gabby Agbonlahor claimed that any club wanting to sign Musiala may have to stump up over £150m to do so.

With 166 senior appearances for Bayern to his name, Musiala, who is now being coached by former City captain Vincent Kompany, has scored 44 goals and delivered 31 assists.

Taking that on board and the claim that the German side are eager to keep hold of the youngster, it’s clear that he would be a star signing for City.

Now that this report has emerged claiming that the Blues still have their eyes on the Bayern star, this highlights how much they admire him.
