Manchester City returned to training on Monday as Pep Guardiola’s squad began preparations for the 25/26 campaign.
The goal for City’s squad this season will be to reclaim the Premier League title from Liverpool, and with Guardiola hitting his target of adding four to five new faces this summer, it remains to be seen if the Spanish coach can fix the issues that were present last term.
Several of the Premier League giants’ new signings are exciting fans ahead of the new season, but there is one that stands out above the rest.
The Man City new boy was caught doing something impressive during training this week, and it has caused supporters to lose their minds with excitement to see him play.

Man City fans blown away by Rayan Cherki’s talent
Having missed out on Florian Wirtz to Liverpool this summer, Man City acquired the services of Rayan Cherki from Lyon as part of a £34m deal, and it is fair to say fans of the Premier League club are very excited to see their new midfielder compete in the English top flight.
This week in training, the cameras caught the French star controlling a dropping ball to perfection, and it has left City supporters drooling over his talent.
Commenting on the piece of skill on X (formerly known as Twitter), one Man City fan wrote: “You genuinely don’t realise how happy I am we signed the French Wizard. He’s gonna be an absolute superstar for us for the years to come imo.”
A second supporter of the Manchester club added: “I think we can conclude he has the best first touch [at Man City]. Let’s see if it translates in the actual matches running down the wing, etc.”
A final Man City fan added: “I better not see Bernardo starting ahead of him.”
Cherki will now be eager to display his talent at the Etihad Stadium during a competitive match, and playing at the home of Man City is not the only thing the midfielder is excited about ahead of the new season.
Rayan Cherki is excited to play with Erling Haaland
Gary Lineker is excited to see how Cherki links up with Erling Haaland throughout the 25/26 campaign after the duo impressed the pundit with how they combined for a goal against Al Ain at the FIFA Club World Cup.
In a recent interview, Cherki admitted that he is convinced that he can bring the best out of Haaland, with the Norwegian hoping he can replicate what Kevin De Bruyne did for him over the last three seasons in Manchester.
The arrival of the 21-year-old will certainly spark new life into Guardiola’s squad, but only time will tell what impact the French international will have, and if he can adapt to the Premier League.
