Man City fans excited by two serious talents emerging at the Etihad as Silva and Aguero comparisons made

It has been a pretty miserable month for Manchester City fans, but one young player at the club is generating quite a bit of buzz.

Manchester City drew 3-3 with Feyenoord earlier this week in the Champions League, having been 3-0 up by 50 minutes.

City fans were critical of Pep Guardiola for the substitutions he made against Feyenoord, but no one quite expected the team to end up drawing from the position they were in.

City now have a fair bit of work to do in the Champions League in order to go through automatically to the knockout stages.

The Feyenoord result was a real shame, but there was some good news on Tuesday night as the U19s demolished their opponents in the UEFA Youth League.

And young Ryan McAidoo got a hat-trick in the 6-1 win.

Reigan Heskey struck twice for the U19s against Feyenoord, with Farid Alfa-Ruprecht also on target. But it was 16-year-old McAidoo who stole the headlines.

McAidoo completed a 19-minute hat-trick against Feyenoord, after coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute of the game.

His first was a well-taken goal after magnificent footwork in the build-up by Justin Oboavwoduo. His second was a fairly easy goal, after Oboavwoduo had pressed the goalkeeper into a mistake, although it was still a fairly emphatic finish from McAidoo.

And then he confidently scored his third from the penalty spot – and fans really like the look of the starlet.

There were also some left impressed with Oboavwoduo and his footwork for the first goal, with some suggesting the pair looked like David Silva and Sergio Aguero back in the day for City.

The future is bright for Man City

Manchester City have one of the best academies in world football.

A lot of money has obviously been spent on the first-team over the years, but the academy has also received heavy investment – and that investment has borne fruit for a while now.

McAidoo and Oboavwoduo both look like brilliant young talents and hopefully, we will perhaps be seeing them in the first-team squad in a few years.

It’s so difficult to get into the first-team squad at City given how many quality players there are. But the rises of Phil Foden, Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb will encourage those looking to achieve their dreams.
