Omar Marmoush starred for Manchester City as he scored in their latest 2-0 victory against Leicester City.
All eyes were on the Egyptian forward as Erling Haaland’s injury gave him a rare chance to lead the line for Manchester City.
But Omar Marmoush certainly delivered, doubling City’s lead against Leicester as Mads Hermansen spilled the ball and gave him an open net to aim towards and score his fifth goal in the Premier League.
Ahead of the contest, Micah Richards lauded Marmoush’s movement and that was certainly on display as he was a constant nuisance for the Foxes’ backline to handle. Pep Guardiola described Marmoush as a “fantastic player” as well as the early signs suggest that he is a top-class signing already.
Manchester City fans were impressed with Marmoush’s display up front against Leicester, noticing that he has the goalscoring instincts to provide adequate cover in Haaland’s absence.

Another City supporter also complimented the former Eintracht Frankfurt goalscorer’s showing: “Omar Marmoush is a good false nine for real.”
A third Manchester City fan claimed that Marmoush is a killer in front of goal after his heroics against Leicester: “Pretty easy, but undeniably good in front of goal, Marmoush. Proper player with a killer instinct.”
A fourth Sky Blues fan agreed, adding: “Omar Marmoush has arrived, he’s going to be unstoppable.”
A fifth supporter asked the in-form marksman’s critics: “Who was saying Marmoush couldnt be a striker again?”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan described Marmoush as a “goal-magnet” after his exploits against Leicester, saying: “Marmoush is literally a poacher, man, this guy is a goal-magnet.”
