After cementing his reputation as one of the Premier League’s most entertaining players at Aston Villa, Jack Grealish has become quite a polarising figure at Manchester City.
While some figures within the game such as David Moyes intend to sign Grealish for Everton, others believe he has flattered to deceive since his move to City in 2021.
However, Manchester City have decided to offload Grealish this summer as the 29-year-old has yet to rediscover his form from the 2022/2023 season when he won the treble.
Reportedly, Grealish spoke to Pep Guardiola at Oasis’ concert recently and contemplated staying at Manchester City, an update that has infuriated several fans who are desperate for him to leave this summer.

Man City fans upset about Jack Grealish considering Etihad Stadium stay
One frustrated Manchester City fan reacted to the potential development surrounding Jack Grealish by simply writing: “New season and it’ll be the same underwhelming Grealish, what’s the sporting director [Hugo Viana] doing?”
Considering it has been reported that none of Manchester City’s players wish to leave in the summer, another City supporter is upset about the lack of outgoings, expressing: “Don’t know whether to laugh or cry at everybody that should’ve been on the chopping block telling everybody they want to stay.”
A third Manchester City fan claimed that if Grealish ends up staying, that would sum up their decline since last season, writing: “Grealish staying speaks to the callousness of this club. It’s not just about money it’s a statement that laziness and a lack of commitment to the team are being rewarded.”
A fourth Sky Blues supporter admitted he would like Pep Guardiola to leave in the event that the Englishman stays for another season and takes minutes away from the likes of Omar Marmoush and Jeremy Doku: “On my life, he stays and starts over Doku or Marmoush and I’m genuinely Pep out.”
A fifth fan reacted to the news by writing: “Leave, just leave.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan posed the question about the point of rebuilding a squad if the club do not end up selling big names, stating: “What’s the point of the rebuild if we keep the same old players…”
Ultimately, the next couple of weeks will determine where City and Pep Guardiola stand with regards to the former Aston Villa attacker’s place in their squad.
Jack Grealish spotted dropping a big hint about his Man City future
As a result, all Manchester City fans can do is wait and watch whether Guardiola and Co deem Grealish surplus to requirements to the extent that they either sell him or send him on loan.
With Grealish earning £300,000-a-week in wages, it is easier said than done to move him on.
However, at Oasis’ recent concert, Grealish admitted he loves Manchester City and their fans, saying: “You know what, I love City more than anything. And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans! They’re the best fans in the world.”
As a result, perhaps the three-time Premier League winner may truly be keen on staying at City and giving himself another chance to revive his career while sporting the famous sky blue strip.
