With the FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon, Manchester City must act quickly in the summer transfer window.
As things stand, it seems like Pep Guardiola’s men are just on the verge of signing several players.
Manchester City could sign Rayan Cherki soon and back themselves to complete a deal for the Frenchman, who registered 12 goals and 20 assists in all competitions last season.
While Rayan Ait-Nouri has said yes to joining Manchester City, a fee needs to be agreed between the Sky Blues and Wolves.
Tijjani Reijnders is a player who City have tracked for a while as well.

Man City set to sign AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders
Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Reijnders to snap him up from AC Milan.
Reijnders, who was recognised as Serie A’s best midfielder has had a terrific season and could be set to play a key role for the English giants as well.
The good news for Manchester City fans is that journalist Daniel Longo has revealed that they could sign him on Wednesday.
Furthermore, Longo has mentioned that the deal could cost €70 million (£58 million).
Man City’s most expensive midfielders of all time
Reijnders is “excited” about joining Manchester City, which will be music to the supporters’ ears.
The 26-year-old is one of the best central midfielders in Europe, as he demonstrated by scoring 15 goals in all competitions last season.
If Manchester City end up signing Reijnders for £58 million, he would be the second-most expensive signing they have made to bolster their midfield in history.
| MAN CITY’S MOST EXPENSIVE MIDFIELDERS | |
| RODRI | £62.5M |
| TIJJANI REIJNDERS | £58M |
| KEVIN DE BRUYNE | £54.5M |
| MATHEUS NUNES | £54M |
| KALVIN PHILLIPS | £45M |
| BERNARDO SILVA | £43M |
Out of the aforementioned names, Kevin De Bruyne is the standout performer, who has a strong claim of being the Premier League’s greatest attacking midfielder of all time.
Bernardo Silva and Rodri can also be considered City legends.
De Bruyne is Reijnders’ idol and he would hoping to follow in his footsteps alongside Bernardo and Rodri rather than the likes of Matheus Nunes and Kalvin Phillips, who have not lived up to expectations.
