It has been reported that Bayern Munich are confident that they will seal a transfer for Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker.

This comes from journalist Tobi Altschäffl, after it was claimed that the £50 million (Guardian) man’s priority is to extend his contract at City.

However, it seems Bayern Munich know within themselves that a transfer for Kyle Walker is imminent ahead of next season.

Bayern are confident that they will complete Kyle Walker transfer

It has been previously reported that a key factor behind the 33-year-old’s rumoured desire to leave the club is due to being omitted out of the starting line-up in the Champions League final in June.

In addition, another report made the revelation that Walker was disappointed about the limited minutes he played for the Sky Blues last season.

Amidst a number of contradictory reports, it has now been claimed that Bayern ‘internally’ believe that they are set to sign Kyle Walker.

The Bundesliga champions are in ‘intensive talks’ with the English defender’s management, with an offer on the table to sign a two-year deal with an option to extend for an additional year as well.

Kyle Walker should fight for his place at the Etihad Stadium

While Kyle Walker may get more playing time at Bayern Munich, it is not as if it is impossible for him to become a regular starter for Manchester City once again.

Especially in their current system, the veteran could cement his place as the right-sided centre-back in their back three in possession.

However, in order to really and truly establish his place in the side, the Englishman must up his ball-playing ability, as his technical levels have not been at their best since the previous campaign.

Ultimately, the prospect of continuing his stay at one of the best teams of all time with Pep Guardiola in charge for two more seasons should motivate him to snub the German giants and add more potential silverware to his stacked trophy cabinet.
