Jack Grealish has given an insight into his conversations with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Having worked with Guardiola for three seasons, Grealish has perhaps had every type of conversation with him in a footballing sense.

From talking tactics to the £378,846-a-week man motivating him before games as well as heart-to-heart conversations, the 28-year-old must have had the chance to pick the great man’s brain about all things football.

After Manchester City defeated West Ham United 3-1 on the final day of last season to win the Premier League, Grealish revealed that Guardiola has helped him a lot when discussing off-the-pitch issues.

Ahead of City’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final in May, the pair also had a chat about the player’s mood and form while discussing the requirement for him to return to his absolute best in the 2024/2025 campaign.

Now, the Manchester City winger is determined to “prove some people wrong” with his displays next season.

It seems like the conversation with Guardiola has spurred the Englishman on to strive for improvement; with Gabby Agbonlahor claiming he is working his socks off in pre-season.

Grealish has revealed the nature of the conversations he has had with Pep Guardiola during his spell at Manchester City.

The three-time Premier League winner said via HaytersTV: “Yeah, of course, you know, I always speak to him. Obviously, you know, I am not going to go into much detail, you know, about what we speak about because that’s between him and me, but yeah, you know, he has been so good for me in the three years that I have at this club.”

“You know, he always offers me good advice, and you know, there’s not really many better people to take advice from, you know. Pep [Guardiola] is a master in this game to take advice from. He is someone that I always listen to.”

Jack Grealish should listen to Pep Guardiola more than he ever has next season

Next season, the best advice one could give to Grealish is to take note of Guardiola’s instructions more than he ever has as a City player.

The upcoming campaign is crucial for the decorated attacker to rescue his career at the Etihad Stadium; considering his debut season as well as his displays last season were underwhelming.

Apart from the season when Manchester City won the treble, Grealish is yet to put together a full campaign of brilliant performances.

Considering Pep Guardiola has seemingly handed the England international a lifeline to resurrect his City career, the silky technician must adhere to his every demand and repay his faith in him.
