Manchester City have shown how capable they are when it comes to signing players from other Premier League clubs.
For example, out of the players from their current squad, the likes of Nathan Ake, Jack Grealish, Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic, John Stones and Kyle Walker arrived at the Etihad Stadium from various top-flight clubs.
With Pep Guardiola’s side having won four consecutive Premier League trophies, this highlights how beneficial it has been for City to sign players who have top-flight experience.
So far in their latest campaign, the Blues have won four and drawn two of their opening six matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding six along the way.
Even though the next summer transfer window is still a long way away, some behind-the-scenes details have come to light regarding which Premier League star City sign next.

Man City could make summer transfer move for Marc Guehi
A recent report from the Daily Mail had this to say on the subject of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and the transfer interest in him.
It said: “There is other interest in the 24-year-old, from Liverpool and Manchester City, but they would be more minded to make a move next summer.”
What has previously been claimed about City and Guehi?
Back in September, it was reported that City have been keeping tabs on Guehi and how his future at Palace could pan out.
During the previous summer transfer window, Newcastle United were heavily linked with a move for the centre-back but were unable to land a proposed £70m deal for him (via The Telegraph).
The summer also saw the 24-year-old start six of England’s seven matches in the 2024 European Championship.
In fact, former City goalkeeper Joe Hart said in an episode of Football Daily (via BBC Sport) that Guehi’s performances in the tournament were “exceptional.”
For Palace, the Englishman has appeared in 104 Premier League games, which highlights the top-flight experience he has and why he’d be just like the other players City have signed from other clubs in the division who know what it’s like to play at the top level.
