Manchester City are set for a busy end to their summer transfer window.

This will come as a surprise to most fans of the Manchester club, as it was reported that Man City were done signing players in the current market. However, Tottenham’s interest in Savinho has forced the Premier League giants to become active again.

It remains to be seen if the winger departs for North London over the coming weeks, and that is not the only situation that needs to be sorted within Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Man City have just received a formal offer for a key member of their squad, and it remains to be seen if the Manchester club will accept it.

Galatasaray submit a formal bid for Ederson

Galatasaray are pushing to sign Ederson before the summer transfer window shuts, as the Brazilian has been a top target for the Turkish club over the last few weeks.

It was reported this week that Galatasaray are willing to exceed the £8.5m (€10m) barrier to sign the goalkeeper after talks took place on Wednesday night, and that the Super Lig champions are now using the same intermediary who helped get the Victor Osimhen deal over the line to sign the Man City star.

According to Pete O’Rourke, Galatasaray have now sent a formal offer to Manchester City for Ederson, and talks are ongoing between the two clubs to complete the transfer.

This would bring an end to a legendary career at Man City for Ederson, who has arguably become the Manchester club’s greatest ever goalkeeper since moving to the Etihad Stadium in 2017.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is now the clear target for Man City to replace the 31-year-old, but there is still a lot of work to do before the PSG star can become part of Guardiola’s squad.

Fabrizio Romano says Man City are keen to find a solution for Ederson

Galatasaray’s bid for Ederson could be the one that gets accepted, and therefore, that would get the wheels in motion for the Manchester club to move for Donnarumma, reports Fabrizio Romano.

“For Manchester City, it is really important, really important to find a solution for Ederson. So Donnarumma will go to Man City only if Ederson leaves the club,” Romano said on the latest episode of the Here We Go Podcast.

“Galatasaray are interested, but Man City still don’t have on the table what they want to give the green light to the exit of Ederson. So let’s follow the situation.

“But if Ederson leaves and the price is reduced, I can tell you that Donnarumma is very keen on the move to Manchester City, very open to joining Pep Guardiola, and so could be one of the big movements of the final two weeks of the summer transfer window.”
