Manchester City are reportedly looking to sell one of their defenders for as little as £8million this summer.
Manchester City have had an incredibly busy summer on the transfer front, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Pep Guardiola has been busy reshaping his squad so 2024/25 can be considered an anomaly rather than a bad turning point for the team.
And while City have made a multitude of signings, there will also be departures to ensure Guardiola doesn’t have a bloated squad.

Manchester City looking to offload Callum Doyle
City academy graduate Callum Doyle is one of the players expected to leave the Etihad Stadium for good this summer, according to reports.
The Athletic recently reported that both City and Doyle had accepted that his future lies away from the Etihad Stadium.
The outlet claimed that City were looking for around £10million, while a similar report from the Daily Mail claimed that they would settle for £8million.
According to the latter report, Bundesliga side Hoffenheim saw a bid for Doyle rejected last month, while there is also interest from Udinese of Serie A.
English teams are reportedly looking to sign Doyle on loan, but City and the 21-year-old are intent on a permanent transfer, added the report.
James McAtee is also in line to leave City this summer, while Claudio Echeverri is set to be loaned out, though City fans fear another Cole Palmer situation could arise with Echeverri.

How Callum Doyle has fared during his time on Manchester City’s books
Doyle has been on City’s books since 2014 and he has worked his way up the ranks to the fringes of the first team.
He played key roles in two league triumphs for City’s youth sides in 2020/21, making appearances for both the Under-18s and the Under-21s.
Doyle has spent the last four years playing for four different teams out on loan, and he made over 40 appearances for three of those teams.
He spent the 2021/22 season at Sunderland before turning out for Coventry City the following year.
Doyle then played for Leicester City during the 2023/24 campaign, though his spell was hampered by a knee injury.
He then went out to Norwich City in 2024/25, where he once again proved a hit, and veteran defender Shane Duffy was eager to sing his praises.
“He’s got the world at his feet. He’s such a good player,” Duffy told Pinkun after the 1-0 New Year’s Day victory at Luton Town.
“Firstly, I think he’s just a great guy, he’s a great guy and he just wants to learn.
“It’s not like I haven’t enjoyed playing with Jose [Cordoba] or Grant [Hanley], but me and Callum have got this understanding.
“Callum probably understands English football a little bit more than Jose – he’s still adapting and has a massive future. I’m sure he will be playing soon.
“Callum Doyle is just so good. He makes me look so bad on the ball because he’s so good. He’s a joy to play with.
“I listen to him – we’ve got a connection, and we’ve got to try and keep everyone fit.
“We’ve probably been chopping and changing in the backline a little bit too much this year. Hopefully, we can get a settled back four and build on it.”
