Here is the latest Manchester City news, with new updates on Rico Lewis, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish
Manchester City comfortably beat Young Boys in the Champions League this week and they are top of their Champions League group and now also first in the Premier League.

The club are now preparing for a big Premier League game on the weekend against Chelsea and a win would keep them top of the Premier League.
Jack Grealish shares Pep Guardiola insight after Champions League win

Jack Grealish played in the Champions League this week for Manchester City and he started the match. It was a good performance from the winger as he picked up an assist on the night.
The English international spoke after the game and shared exactly what Pep Guardiola told Manchester City players to do in the game against Young Boys.
Grealish said: “As they were playing with a five, the manager asked us to hit the ball in that area straight away instead of passing it to each player, because it obviously took longer. I wanted to get it straight out to Phil (Foden), let him go at the defender one-v-one and that’s what he did.”
The comments from Grealish show exactly why Guardiola is one of the best in the managerial world. He is constantly adapting to the opposition he faces and he always seems to find a way to get through and get Manchester City creating a lot of chances. They are looking very strong in the Champions League and there is no doubt that they could possibly go back-to-back and win the competition twice in a row.
Why Pep Guardiola shouted at Rico Lewis vs Young Boys

Rico Lewis, who is on £25,000-a-week at Manchester City, is a young exciting prospect who has broken into the first team; however, he didn’t have the perfect performance in the Champions League this week.
Guardiola was not happy after the Manchester City No.82 caused an attack to break down and the Manchester Evening News shared that Pep Guardiola shouted over to Lewis from the opposite side of the pitch to express his frustration at the teenager’s decision-making. Lewis did apologise for his mistake, but Guardiola continued to vent his anger at the player.
It is no shock that the Manchester City manager did this as he is definitely a person who will be very active on the touchline. With Lewis still only 18 years-old, this type of coaching will be good for him as he will definitely improve under Guardiola’s guidance, no matter if sometimes the manager is tough on the versatile player.
Pep Guardiola did everything possible to keep Kyle Walker

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has been key to the club for many years now, but over the summer, there was lots of reports suggesting he was close to joining Bayern Munich. In the end he ended up staying and the latest news has shared how much Pep Guardiola did to convince Walker to stay at the club.
According to The Athletic, Guardiola gave Walker ‘the freedom of the Etihad’ to convince him to stay at the Premier League club. Walker was also promised a lot of game time by the manager and this makes managing him slightly tougher because Guardiola loves rotation.
Walker is definitely a crucial player for the club and he has been for years, so it is no shock to see the manager do everything possible to convince him to stay. Hopefully the right-back stays at the club whilst in his prime and continues to help Manchester City dominate England and Europe.
