Manchester City struck gold when they signed Omar Marmoush in the January transfer window.
The Egypt international has hit the ground running at the Etihad Stadium, with seven goals and one assist to his name already.
Marmoush, who joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in a £59million deal in January, looks set to become a crucial player for the club.
Micah Richards has now shared what he thinks Pep Guardiola needs to do to ensure Marmoush is at his “most dangerous” going forward.

Micah Richards says Manchester City should play Omar Marmoush as a left-sided forward
Richards, speaking on The Rest is Football, noted how Marmoush has been playing as both part of a two up front and out to the left, as he did against Crystal Palace.
The former Man City defender believes Marmoush would be at his most dangerous playing on the left of a three-man attack, like a reverse of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
“Yeah, I think with Marmoush, so when he was at Frankfurt, he was the key man,” said Richards.
“So he would do pretty much everything. He would link up, he would score goals, he would make assists.
“But in the system at Manchester City, he sort of played two up front at times, when City played 4-4-2.
“But yesterday, Kevin De Bruyne was playing the false nine, he was sort of playing out to the left. McAtee was playing on the right. But I want him a bit closer to goal.”
Richards continued: “He’s so good at so many different things. I think his best attribute is… You know the old school striker when they used to come deep, knock it off, then run in behind, or he can start wide and make runs inside as well.
“I think that’s where he’ll be the most dangerous, because we’re thinking, okay, he’s playing with Haaland.
“When Haaland’s fit, I would probably play him a left of a three, but like a Salah, but on the other side, coming on to his right foot, I think that’s where he could cause the most danger for Man City.
“But sometimes I’d like to see more involved in the game.”
What Pep Guardiola has said about Omar Marmoush
Guardiola recently said Marmoush deserves “big credit” for doing one thing that’s not easy at all at Man City – namely performing well in a struggling Citizens outfit.
“The numbers are very good, the numbers are really, really, really good,” said Guardiola. “So, arrive here, the impact in the middle of the season and in the moment that we are not good.
“Sometimes, one player comes when everything’s fluid and everything’s fine and it’s easy to adapt. But coming when the team is not playing good, that is big value, big credit.”
Only Salah has outscored Marmoush in the Premier League since the latter’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium.
Aaron Lennon has claimed Marmoush is City’s future and it certainly looks as though this will be the case as the team’s rebuild continues.
