It has been reported that Manchester City are yet to receive any formal offers for the services of Aymeric Laporte yet.
This comes from journalist Jack Gaughan, despite a previous report claiming that the £57.2 million (Guardian) man was ‘frustrated’ at City and was likely to leave the club.
However, it seems like no club is yet to have made an offer to sign Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte.
Jack Gaughan: No club has made an offer to sign Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte
It was claimed four days ago that Chelsea had ‘requested info’ on the Spanish international’s situation at the club.
Similarly, it was speculated in another report that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur were willing to contact the treble-winners in order to wrap up a deal to sign the five-time Premier League winner.
However, Jack Gaughan has reiterated that so far, ‘no official offers’ have been presented to Manchester City to initiate the sale of Aymeric Laporte.

While Josko Gvardiol has been claimed to be a potential replacement for the 29-year-old, not a single club have formalised their interest in the Sky Blues hero.
Manchester City may have to sell him to another Premier League club
Much like in the cases of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus, it seemed like Arsenal were one of the few clubs willing to take on the former City duo’s wage packets, fees and signings, therefore.
With Premier League clubs being far more financially able to make big moves ever summer, perhaps Manchester City would be best-placed to sell Aymeric Laporte to another English side.
Of course, Pep Guardiola’s men must be careful in choosing which club to sell the former Athletic Bilbao defender to, as he remains a world-class player.
Also, if Laporte is not on board with said club, a move will break down.
But that may well be the last resort as many of the elite clubs outside England either lack the financial muscle or choose not to flex it as much.
