Norwich City have set their sights on one of Manchester City’s talented youngsters.
City have already let two academy graduates depart this summer.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis was on loan at Southampton, but turned his move permanent automatically as a result of their promotion to the Premier League.
Tommy Doyle was bought by Wolves via their option to buy clause, after a successful loan spell in 2023/24.
Young players from City are always being looked at by other clubs, and Norwich City, who failed to secure promotion last season after getting to the play-offs, are seeking to sign young defender Callum Doyle.
Norwich City interested in Manchester City defender Callum Doyle

It has been reported by BBC Sport that Norwich are looking to sign Callum Doyle this summer, in a bid to bolster their defensive options.
Doyle spent last season on loan at Leicester City who eventually came up to the Premier League as champions.
Doyle was limited to just 25 appearances for the Foxes last term after suffering a knee injury.
After picking up the injury at the end of September Doyle returned to match action in January, but struggled to build momentum again.
Starts were hard to come by, and he didn’t get off the bench in four of Leicester’s final five league games. He played just 15 minutes in the final game against Blackburn.
Doyle has returned to City, but he now has interest from Norwich, and the Norwich Evening News report that he has even been at the club’s Colney training ground ‘on a fact-finding mission’.
Doyle has previously been viewed as one of City’s most talented youngsters, with journalist Andy Turner saying of Doyle during his previous loan spell at Coventry City: “He has a superb range of passing, including the ability to hit long diagonals to land on a sixpence with a wand of a left foot.
“He fitted in effortlessly to Coventry’s play out from the back style and would certainly suit a possession-based team.
“Most people who saw Doyle play for Coventry concluded he is a future England player in the making.”
Another loan for Doyle could be right move
Doyle is still only 20 and it feels like another loan move would be sensible from City.
The youngster was robbed of a full season as a result of his injury in 2023/24, so it would be good for City to send him out on loan again to get a full season under his belt.
But it may be that Norwich or another club are willing to pay good money to sign Doyle – described as ‘really talented’ and ‘very good’ technically by his former manager at Coventry City Mark Robins – permanently.
We have seen City insert sell-on clauses and buy-backs, so perhaps if the price is right then the club will be willing to offload Doyle.
