The 2025/26 season is set to be a huge one in the career of Oscar Bobb.
The Norwegian star broke onto the scene during the 2023/24 season as the 21-year-old featured in Premier League games regularly for City, with everyone remembering his sensational goal against Newcastle United.
The youngster did not reach the same heights last term as Bobb missed the majority of the term due to a serious leg injury he suffered in training at the beginning of the season; therefore, the upcoming campaign provides the Norway star with a chance to bounce back.
It remains to be seen what will happen with the future of Bobb throughout the remainder of the summer, but if he stays at the Etihad Stadium, he could be about to benefit massively from the arrival of a new star.

Oscar Bobb will benefit from the arrival of Sverre Nypan
Bobb wants to remain at Man City this season despite the competition for places increasing due to the arrival of Rayan Cherki from Lyon.
There were reports that Lyon would be interested in taking Bobb on loan as part of their deal with Man City for Cherki; however, that has been deemed very difficult as the Manchester club are not fully convinced they want to let the Norwegian leave.
It was reported on Wednesday that Man City are close to reaching an agreement to sign Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, which looks set to be a ‘record’ sale for a player leaving the Norwegian league.
The 18-year-old looks set to go straight out on loan to Girona should City get a deal for the midfielder over the line, but for future seasons, the arrival of the Norwegian star could have a big impact on Bobb.
On the field, Nypan is a centre midfielder who is very versatile, who can create for his attackers while also producing opportunities for himself. Adding another creative player will certainly help Bobb get chances; however, the biggest benefit for the Man City star will be off the pitch.
Having another Norwegian around the Etihad Stadium could help Bobb flourish as the two players are similar in age, are very likely to have the same interests, and they will likely spend a lot of time with each other at the training ground.
After a tough season last time around, the arrival of Nypan will be a big boost for Bobb, who will now be looking to impress at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The FIFA Club World Cup is big for Oscar Bobb
Bobb was included in Man City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday as the Manchester club prepares to travel to America on Thursday.
The tournament is a great opportunity for the 21-year-old to remind Pep Guardiola what he can do as the youngster will be given opportunities to shine, seeing as Man City are playing inferior opposition in the group stages, with the Premier League club beginning their campaign against Wydad AC on June 18.
With City’s pre-season to be affected by the Club World Cup, Bobb’s chances to impress will be limited, which is not ideal when Cherki has arrived at the Manchester club, given that the French star plays in similar positions.
It is hard to see Bobb being a regular starter at the Etihad Stadium next season, however, after a season impacted by a serious injury, a rotation role may actually benefit the 21-year-old as he looks to get back up to speed with an eye on the 2026/27 campaign.
