It has been reported that Manchester City are now considering submitting a bid to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
This comes from the Evening Standard after it was claimed on Wednesday that Roy Hodgson’s side are unwilling to sell him below a fee of £70 million.
Now, it seems like Manchester City could be potentially open to putting in a bid to sign Eberechi Eze after all.
Manchester City considering launching Eberechi Eze bid
Branded as a ‘magician’ by Micah Richards, the 25-year-old’s arrival could prove to be key for City, who have lost Kevin De Bruyne to a hamstring injury for around half the season.
Even Pep Guardiola acknowledged back in March that the England international is an ‘incredible threat’ in his pre-match press conference.
It has been reported that Manchester City are now considering to put in a bid to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

However, the Eagles have internally decided that the lowest they are willing to go to negotiate Eze’s sale is £70 million.
This is primarily due to the fact that club legend Wilfried Zaha joined Galatasaray this summer on a free transfer, as he was out of contract.
Eberechi Eze would be a brilliant coup for the treble-winners
While the asking price may be a touch too high at this moment in time for Manchester City, one can concur with their interest in Eberechi Eze to an extend where they would launch a bid for him imminently.
The Englishman would be tailor-made to come into Pep Guardiola’s side and operate alongside Phil Foden to help create chances going forward after Kevin De Bruyne’s absence.
Impressively, Eze is also capable of operating deeper, especially from a defensive perspective, which is key for City as one of their advanced midfielders is tasked to sit in a pivot out of possession.
For all these factors, Eberechi Eze is actually one of the few creative midfielders in the market that fits the bill for the treble-winners.
