It has been reported that Pep Guardiola has been left unimpressed by the fact that Manchester City are yet to have brought in Josko Gvardiol.

This comes from the Mirror, after it was claimed on Thursday that any news around the 21-year-old having reached an agreement to join City could not be further from the truth.

Understandably so, Pep Guardiola is desperate for Josko Gvardiol to become a Manchester City player as swiftly as possible, considering his side’s pre-season tour kicks off on Sunday.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is annoyed about Josko Gvardiol transfer delay

As Fabrizio Romano tweeted ‘Here We Go’ on Wednesday with regards to the youngster’s much-speculated move to the Etihad Stadium, it seemed like the treble-winner had finally signed their dream target.

With Aymeric Laporte primed to leave the blue half of Manchester, the Croatian centre-back’s imminent addition was widely lauded after the aforementioned update online.

But Josko Gvardiol has gone on RB Leipzig’s pre-season tour, it has now been revealed that Pep Guardiola is ‘frustrated’ about Manchester City not paying the desired fee, which is thought to be close to £90 million to get the deal done.

The highly-rated defender, branded as ‘unreal’ by GiveMeSport himself is claimed to be ‘desperate’ to join the Sky Blues in order to work alongside the Catalan boss.

Manchester City must get the deal done at all costs

Considering Pep Guardiola has just led Manchester City to the treble and tends to always come up trumps despite the club’s habit of leaving certain problem areas unaddressed in windows gone by, it is only right that he is rewarded with the signing of Josko Gvardiol.

To add to that, the youngster is simply the most exciting centre-back prospect in world football, capable of leading City’s defence for years to come.

Having chased his signature so long into the summer window, the failure to sign him now could mar the club’s transfer plans ahead of next season.
