Riyad Mahrez is one of the most graceful players to have ever graced the Premier League.
Since his time at Leicester City, Mahrez has been a joy to watch for fans and pundits alike.
The former Manchester City winger’s impeccable technique, effortlessness in beating defenders, sublime first touch and eye for a pass made him a truly outstanding wide player.
After emerging as Leicester’s best player in their historic Premier League triumph in 2016, the Al-Ahli forward continued his brilliance at the Etihad Stadium by especially coming to life in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons.
While the English top-flight still has exceptional right-wingers of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka’s ilk, there is still lack of a player as stylish as the Algerian was in his position across world football.
Gary Lineker once claimed Mahrez’s first touch is the best he has ever seen aside from legends of the game such as Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.

Mahrez sends three-word message to Man City new-boy Savinho
Such was the pizzazz the 33-year-old played with during his time at City and Leicester.
While Jeremy Doku was seemingly signed to replace Mahrez last year, he is yet to explode into life as a right-winger.
However, Manchester City decided to sign Savinho to perhaps emerge as a more direct replacement for the African Cup of Nations winner.
The 20-year-old made his first start for the club in his side’s 2-0 victory against Chelsea where he certainly raised eyebrows with his sparkling showing.
So much so that Mahrez has reacted to a clip posted by Manchester City’s X account from their victory against Chelsea by suggesting that Savinho plays just like him.
Mahrez wrote: “Wait a minute”, followed by detective and laughing emojis to hint that the youngster looks just like him with the ball at his feet.
Demba Ba also likened Savinho to Mahrez during the contest.
Savinho would be delighted when he sees the Riyad Mahrez post
Savinho admitted Mahrez is his “inspiration” when he signed for the Sky Blues while also revealing that he chose the number 26 because the legendary winger used to wear it at City.
The fact that the Brazilian’s idol has now clearly hinted that he feels they play alike would be a dream come true for Manchester City’s new-boy.
For any winger to be likened to Mahrez is huge praise.
Especially Savinho, who seems to be his game around the five-time Premier League winner due to having a similarly elegant playing style, a willingness to go at defenders as well as doing skills and tricks on the pitch.
