Former Man United star Roy Keane believes one of Manchester City’s new signings will be a big hit in the Premier League this season.
The Premier League giants have been busy during the summer months, adding to Pep Guardiola’s squad, which concluded on deadline day with Man City completing the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
When it comes to the rest of City’s other additions, pundits and fans have seen them all play by now, with the Premier League already three games in.
When assessing transfers Premier League clubs have made throughout the 2025 summer window, Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane thinks one Man City star will be a hit at the Etihad Stadium.

Roy Keane thinks Tijjani Reijnders is going to be a hit at Man City
Man City kicked off their 2025/26 campaign in impressive fashion as Guardiola’s men hammered Wolves 4-0 at Molineux, with Tijjani Reijnders being the star of the show, and the Premier League got a quick understanding of what the Dutch star is about.
In the two games since, the midfielder has not stood out as much, but Keane still believes the 27-year-old will be a big hit at Man City since completing his £46m move from AC Milan this summer.
“Yeah, I think he’ll be a hit, he has had a steady start,” the former Man United star said about Reijnders on Sky Sports when asked to rate the Premier League’s new signings as a hit or miss.
“I think he’s got enough quality, big strong boy. He’s obviously scored a goal already. I’ll say he will be a hit for me.”
Man City return to action against Manchester United after the international break, and fans of the Citizens will be hoping Reijnders reminds everyone just how good he can be to help Guardiola’s team get three points out of the derby.

Tijjani Reijnders nominated for Manchester City’s August Player of the Month
Reijnders has played every minute for Man City so far this season as the Dutch star has already become a key part of Guardiola’s team.
The 27-year-old produced a goal and an assist against Wolves, but he has not contributed since, with the Manchester club losing their last two games against Tottenham and Brighton.
Despite this, Reijnders has been nominated for Man City’s Player of the Month award for August alongside Erling Haaland and John Stones.
Haaland is the most likely to be awarded the accolade, having scored three goals across the opening three games of the season, but the other two candidates are worthy winners if they are chosen.
