Manchester City have been dealt a lot of injury blows this season.
For instance, after losing Oscar Bobb to a serious leg issue before the Premier League campaign started, Rodri suffered a season-ending injury during City’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September.
As well as that, various other figures in City’s squad have had to deal with injury and fitness issues that have led to them missing games.
On the pitch, Pep Guardiola’s side have failed to win any of their six previous matches across all competitions.
Their next match sees them take on Liverpool at Anfield – where City have only won twice in the Premier League era.
Ahead of this game, a key figure in Guardiola’s ranks has shared a fitness update that should delight a lot of City supporters.

Ruben Dias issues fitness update ahead of Man City vs Liverpool
In a recent interview shared as part of the December issue of the City Magazine, Dias said this about his spell on the sidelines and his current fitness situation.
He said: “It’s never easy to be on the sidelines for any game, whatever reason and in any context. Obviously, that moment was not the best and you want to help your teammates and be there fighting alongside them.
“Going into the start of December, I am fully fit, though have just returned to training after four weeks out, but feel good.”
Dias will be a big boost for City
Dias has spent the past few weeks out of action with a calf injury. However, the defender was fit enough to be an unused substitute in Tuesday night’s 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Across the nine league games he’s appeared in this season, the centre-back has racked up the second-highest total of interceptions (10) in the City squad and the third-highest for clearances (21).
This makes it easy to see why the 27-year-old has been a big miss for the Blues and why having him back to full fitness will be a big boost for them.
In fact, Ally McCoist shared how much City missed Dias, saying this on the matter.
He said: “Do you know who I think is key for them? I think [Ruben] Dias the centre-half. I think he stabilises the, at the back as well and he doesn’t mind leaving himself one-v-one defensively.”
Looking ahead to Sunday’s big match against Liverpool, if Dias can feature in this game and help his side pick up a positive result, this could be the spark City need to get their season back on track.
