Manchester City will bid farewell to several players this summer, as the rebuild of the squad continues.
Pep Guardiola has watched his side struggle a lot this season, with a number of players performing way below the standards they set in previous years.
It is expected that Manchester City’s squad will look a lot different for 2025/26.
As many as seven players could leave City, with Kevin De Bruyne already one confirmed outgoing.

As has been the case for the past couple of years, clubs in Saudi Arabia are looking at City’s squad and considering a raid.
De Bruyne had been strongly linked with a move to Saudi, but the Belgian now seems more likely to either stay in Europe or go to the MLS. It has been claimed today that Chicago Fire are in talks with the player.
But SPL clubs could instead move for one of De Bruyne’s teammates.
Saudi Pro League clubs considering Jack Grealish transfer approach
It’s been reported by Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol that Saudi Pro League clubs are looking to make statements again this summer, and have a few big-name players in their sights.
Most of the talk at this moment in time is about Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
But Solhekol says Saudi clubs are also looking at £100 million star Grealish.
He said on X: “Saudi Pro League clubs are planning on making big moves in the summer window again with approaches being considered for players such as Bruno Fernandes, Jack Grealish and Victor Osimhen.”
2024/25 has been a tough campaign for Jack Grealish, who has struggled for regular minutes.
The 29-year-old has been unable to nail down a starting berth, as he’s competed against the likes of Savinho and Jeremy Doku for chances to play.
His desire for minutes was then made even more difficult in January when City went out and signed Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Man City have done business with Saudi clubs before

It will be really interesting to see what happens with Grealish this summer, as undoubtedly, he’s in a tough spot at the Etihad Stadium.
Grealish has huge competition now, and there’s also Oscar Bobb coming back into the picture after his injury. And City could sign more players this summer.

It would be no surprise if City engaged with Saudi clubs over Grealish, if they felt the player might be open to a move there. One thing City won’t do, though, is loan Grealish out.
Of course, City have already sold two players to the SPL. In 2023, Riyad Mahrez moved to Al-Ahli, and Aymeric Laporte joined Al-Nassr.
Grealish has also been linked with English clubs, but City may feel there’s a greater chance to get more of their initial investment back by selling to a Saudi club.
