Tim Howard has suggested Phil Foden has now become an undroppable player at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, following his amazing display against Manchester United.
Foden continued his stunning form at the weekend, scoring two goals against the Red Devils in a dominant 3-1 win.
Marcus Rashford gave United a surprise lead early on. But City turned things around in the second-half with Foden stepping up to sting the Red Devils twice, before Erling Haaland wrapped up the game in injury-time.
Pep Guardiola hailed Foden as the best player in the Premier League so far this season after his heroics, and the praise has been plentiful since the game.
Tim Howard also had some nice things to say about the 23-year-old. In his eyes, Foden has now become undroppable for City…
Tim Howard says Phil Foden has become undroppable at Man City like Fernandinho and Rodri

Foden has just been the talk of the town from the moment the final whistle blew on Sunday.
His performance was exceptional, and conversations are now rightly being had about him being world-class and being in contention for individual honours come the end of the season.
Foden’s development this season has been remarkable.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Howard believes it is as much down to the player’s mentality, as it is his natural ability.
He said (NBC Sports): “Every time the ball comes to him there’s never a lost touch. It doesn’t matter if it’s a long crossfield ball or if he’s in the box. It’s literally like the ball is velcro to his foot. I think what we’re starting to see with Pep is, he has his love affairs with players, and it could be for a 10-game stretch, and he puts them in and he pulls them out and you’re wondering ‘why does he fall in and out of love?’
“But then there’s players who stand the test of time. Your Fernandinho’s, sometimes Bernardo Silva, Rodri. I feel like that is kind of where Phil Foden is going.
“You talk about what he’s accomplished and how good he is. The mentality to be in and around your hometown and to play for that football club. It’s great that he has good skill, but his ability of being mentally strong to go out there and perform is incredible at his age.”
Foden would not be where he is today without his incredible mentality and work ethic
It is great to hear Howard shining a light on Foden’s mentality and work ethic, because he deserves as much praise for that as his technical ability and quality on the pitch.
Foden has been able to reach the level he has today, because of his absolute love for the game of football.
Pep Guardiola made some heartwarming comments about the star’s pure love for the game after the win over United.
Foden has been utterly devoted to the game since he was a child, and his determination has played a huge part in him becoming a world-class player for the best team in the world.
