Manchester City are no strangers to being linked with transfer moves with players across the top five European leagues.
For example, previous transfer windows have seen City sign the likes of Savinho, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol from numerous clubs across Europe for significant fees.
More recently, Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with January transfer moves for a handful of players after Rodri suffered a season-ending injury during the Manchester club’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in September.
Now that November has arrived, some behind-the-scenes details have come to light regarding one particular player who has found himself on the Premier League champions’ transfer radar in recent weeks.

European trio rivalling Man City for Samuele Ricci transfer
A recent report from Caught Offside has claimed that Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are now interested in signing reported City target Samuele Ricci.
The report also added that Torino could likely ask for a fee of around €40m (£33m) to sell the midfielder, whose contract at the Italian club is set to expire in the summer of 2026.
What has Ricci said about Man City transfer links?
Back in September, it was reported that City had identified Ricci as a potential January transfer target following Rodri suffering a season-ending injury.
Last month, Ricci discussed the City transfer links, saying this on the subject.
He said: “I’ve learned to understand a little: as soon as you do well, a lot of things come out. They’re nice but you shouldn’t get too big for your boots. I still have a lot of things to improve on.”
“I look at them, friends send me articles. But I think more about concrete things, that is, the green rectangle [the pitch].”
This season has seen the 23-year-old start all 11 of Torino’s Serie A matches, which highlights how much of a significant player he is for the Italian side.
Now that Chelsea, Inter and Real have joined the race to land a deal for the Italian, this shows just how highly rated he is and why City may have a challenge on their hands when it comes to potentially securing his signature.
