Tim Sherwood has likened Jeremy Doku to Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane.
The pundit also broke down what Doku brings to this Manchester City side on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast.
In November, Rodri claimed that City had lacked a player like Leroy Sane or Raheem Sterling until the Belgian’s arrival this summer.
Tim Sherwood says Jeremy Doku reminds him of Leroy Sane
Bournemouth right-back Max Aarons recently revealed that upon facing him, he noted that the 21-year-old aims to “embarrass” his opponent and hailed him as a “great player.”
Alex Scott also named the former Rennes winger as the best player he has come up against in the Premier League this season.
Tim Sherwood has now gone on to compare Jeremy Doku to Leroy Sane.

“I think [Jeremy] Doku is good, I really do, I think he gives them something different, he’s a little bit Leroy Sane-esque where he’s a little bit more direct and quick, and he goes past people”, he said on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast.
Jeremy Doku should study the German international’s game
Tim Sherwood has a point in the sense that much like Leroy Sane, Jeremy Doku has the ability to run rings around defenders with his quick feet and outstanding dribbling.
But at Manchester City and even at Bayern Munich, the German international evolved his game beyond just being an elite dribbler.
At the Etihad Stadium, the former Schalke wideman was a brilliant creative presence while also chipping in with goals due to his astute movement in behind defences.
While at the Allianz Arena, Sane has undergone a huge transformation, as he does not take on defenders as much anymore but instead drives into attacking areas with the ball after linking up with players, improving his game on the right flank and especially, in central areas.
From the evidence one has seen in sky blue, Jeremy Doku is an out-and-out left-winger.
While Doku’s end product, especially in terms of the number of chances he creates and his final ball leaves a lot to be desired.
Once the youngster develops in these respects, he could become a world-class winger like Leroy Sane.
