Shaka Hislop also claimed that “it’s hard” to opt for a player in the Premier League who has performed better than the 23-year-old.

Now, Tom Cairney has lauded the sensational showing from Phil Foden in the Manchester Derby while claiming that he has been the standout player in the Premier League during the ongoing 2023/2024 campaign.
“He’s England’s most naturally gifted footballer by a mile. In my opinion. Naturally gifted. He wants to play in the middle, it’s quite obvious for England. Whether they do that, I’m not so sure”, he said about the Manchester City talisman on BBC Sounds’ The Footballer’s Football Podcast.
“But yeah, at the weekend, best player on the pitch by a mile, energy, goal threat, creative, everything you want to see really. So, I think he has been the best player in the Premier League this season.”
