Manchester City fans are in a great mood today, with the club sitting top of the Premier League table after the latest round of fixtures.
Manchester City beat Southampton 1-0 on Saturday night, and then watched Liverpool and Arsenal play out a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
A win for Liverpool would have sent the Reds top.
But the spoils were shared, and City fans were lapped up the ‘best outcome’ between Arsenal and Liverpool.
Against Southampton, City were again not at their best. In the end, only Erling Haaland’s goal separated the two sides at the Etihad Stadium.
But there were some good individual displays, and there was another lively outing from Savinho – who left a very good impression on the club’s Women’s manager Gareth Taylor.
Gareth Taylor drops Savinho verdict after Brazilian’s first few months at Man City

Savinho was the only player Manchester City spent money on to sign in the last transfer window.
City paid a fee that could reach £33 million for the youngster and so far, it is looking like a sound investment.
He has yet to score his first goal. But Savinho has certainly been creative, and provided four assists across all competitions.
Taylor managed to catch Savinho in the flesh for the first time recently, and he’s shared what he finds most impressive about the South American.
He said (via mancity.com): “He’s done really well in the last two games I’ve seen him play up close and live.
“He’s been impressive because he’s very talented, you can see that. He always gets defenders on the back foot.
“He came over on the left late in the game and gave Kyle Walker-Peters a few problems as well. I think he’s adapting really well.
“If he can get that goal I think it could unleash him and give him more confidence because we know he’s more than capable.
“It’s a solid contribution from him.”
