As Manchester City dismantled Manchester United during their 3-1 win, Erling Haaland was caught celebrating like a true Sky Blues supporter.
On a day when Haaland missed a sitter that looked tougher not to put in the back of the net, he redeemed himself by opening up his body and slotting the ball past Onana in the 91st minute.
Rodri capitalised on Sofyan Amrabat dilly-dallying on the ball, as he set the Norwegian superstar up to do what he does best.
Erling Haaland did ‘The Poznan’ as Manchester City beat Manchester United on Sunday
But Manchester Evening News journalist Matthew Kerr shared a video on X of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland doing “The Poznan” during his side’s victory against Manchester United.
The celebration, inspired by Lech Poznan supporters is often seen at the Etihad Stadium as City fans turn their backs to the pitch, join arms and jump up and down to celebrate their side’s lead.
Especially against big teams, when the Sky Blues are winning comfortably, the home fans celebrate in such a manner in unison.
Erling Haaland, who is known to be a boyhood Manchester City fan was perhaps buzzing to have seen his side beat Manchester United and he could not help himself from doing the celebration.
Erling Haaland loves the club
If there was any doubt that Erling Haaland lives and breathes Manchester City, in our view, such questions were squashed after the way he celebrated against Manchester United.
The 23-year-old often gets linked with moves elsewhere, with a report claiming that he would pack his bags and head to Real Madrid tomorrow if he could.
In January, it was speculated that Manchester City are confident that they will keep hold of the Leeds-born goalscorer.
But as it was claimed last month, those close to Haaland have laughed off such speculation about his move to the Spanish capital as he is content with life at City.
From the looks of it, it seems like Haaland could not be any happier than he is in the blue side of Manchester, scoring goals for fun, winning trophies and being able to express himself as a fan of the club as well in local rivalries such as the one against United on Sunday.
