Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is of interest to Everton, and a report has shared what kind of deal the Toffees would prefer to do this summer.
Phillips is back with City after returning earlier this summer following his loan spell with West Ham United.
The former Leeds United man had a really tough time with the Irons, with his stint going so poorly that he ended up missing out on the England squad for Euro 2024.
Phillips has struggled badly for minutes at City since his £45 million transfer two years ago.
So many are expecting him to leave this summer, but it just depends on whether a club would be willing to meet City’s valuation.
Everton are keen, and a report has now shared how the Toffees would like to sign Phillips.
Everton would prefer loan with option to buy on Kalvin Phillips, Man City want obligation

In January, City sent Phillips on loan to West Ham with the hope of the player rediscovering his mojo.
Phillips had barely played for City and officials were hoping that he could shine a the London Stadium to perhaps prompt West Ham to buy him.
But Phillips just couldn’t get going, with his lack of minutes at City seemingly playing a part in his struggles.
Phillips often cut a frustrated figure and appeared to lack confidence.
West Ham will not be buying him this summer, but there is interest from Everton and also Fulham.
But Everton would prefer to loan Phillips according to TEAMtalk, and they would like to insert an option to buy clause. Potentially, this could be a stumbling block because City want an obligation.
It is added that Sean Dyche is a big admirer of the player, and believes he can get Phillips back to his best.
City right to seek obligation to buy
It has been crystal clear over the last two years that Phillips is not a player Pep Guardiola feels can be a regular starter for City.
He could have played the £150,000-a-week star much more than he has. But he has been reluctant to do so.
His transfer to the Etihad has proven to be a mistake, so now it is about finding a solution.
Everton are keen on the player but supposedly would prefer to sign him on loan, and have an option of buying him, which is completely understandable given his last stint at West Ham.
But City ought to try and hold out for that obligation, as then there would be a guaranteed payment next summer.
