The final international break of 2024 has now been and gone.

This weekend sees the Premier League return following the November international break.

For Manchester City, they’ll be back at the Etihad Stadium for their latest league outing against Tottenham Hotspur – who knocked the Blues out of the Carabao Cup last month.

On Thursday night, the Manchester club announced that Pep Guardiola had signed a two-year extension to his contract – which was set to expire in June.

Many City fans reacted to Guardiola’s contract extension once the club made the announcement following the initial report from The Athletic on the matter earlier in the week.

Contract update – As mentioned earlier, this will be the first time Guardiola will be speaking to the media following the news about his contract extension. This will likely be at the top of the agenda for the City manager to cover including his reasons for doing so.

Injury updates – City have dealt with a lot of injury problems this season, especially in the past couple of weeks leading up to the November international break. Now that the campaign will be back underway on Saturday, many City supporters will be desperate to know what the current fitness situation is with the squad ahead of such a big game.

Latest City documentary – Earlier this week, City released their Together: 4-In-A-Row documentary focusing on their previous Premier League campaign which saw the club become the first side to win four consecutive league trophies.
