Don Hutchison has told Declan Rice to favour a transfer to Manchester City and snub Arsenal in the process.

The well-known pundit took to Twitter to give his two cents on the West Ham United talisman’s future, with Robbie Fowler giving him the same piece of advice as well.

As Declan Rice seems to have the option of either joining Manchester City or Arsenal, Don Hutchison believes signing for the former is a no-brainer.

Don Hutchison tells Declan Rice to snub Arsenal transfer in favour of Manchester City move

It was reported on Friday that the 24-year-old, branded as ‘so smart’ by Jack Grealish was in ‘advanced talks’ to join the treble-winners after all.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side have been widely claimed to be the favourites in the race to sign him, having worked on the deal for months and with the chance of staying in London a factor that is playing on his mind.

However, Don Hutchison, who is also known to be a West Ham fan has suggested Declan Rice to choose Manchester City instead of Arsenal as his next destination.

“I’ve no real in mate. But I think Man City. Why wouldn’t you want to play under the best, Pep [Guardiola] and win major silverware?”

Declan Rice could regret the decision to reject City

If Declan Rice does not listen to Don Hutchison and picks Arsenal instead of Manchester City as his next club, he may live to regret the decision.

The chance to join one of the best teams of all time and work under Pep Guardiola is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any player.

While Guardiola’s contract does end in 2025, to even be coached by him for two years would do wonders for his development as he would also likely to win a host of trophies along the way.

At Arsenal, on the other hand, it seems like unless the Catalan boss leaves, they are unlikely to beat them on any front.

And in the event that Pep Guardiola signs an extension, Declan Rice could have effectively turned down the chance to be part of a side that could build yet another dynasty.
