There are not many strikers in the world better than Man City’s Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian star was one of the most sought-after talents in world football before moving to Man City from Borussia Dortmund during the summer of 2022 and since then, the 24-year-old has reached the heights many expected him to.
Haaland has already secured multiple titles at the Etihad Stadium and the forward has an incredible record with the Manchester club as he has produced 120 goals and 20 assists across 138 games.
At present, Haaland is out injured, but when he returns, he will hope to add a few more goals to the 21 he has already scored in the Premier League, a total Ben Foster thinks an £86m striker could match if he played for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Ben Foster believes Harry Kane would be a success at Man City
Man City showed interest in Harry Kane during the summer of 2021; however, a deal for the Englishman could not get done, hence why Guardiola moved for Haaland a year later.
The two players are very different in terms of their style as the Norwegian is a physical specimen, who likes to use his natural attributes and run in behind, while Kane is more of a false number nine as he can create from deep, while also bagging a large number of goals.
The 31-year-old has shown this ever since he made the £86m to Bayern Munich and it is why Foster believes the former Tottenham star would score 20 goals a season if he returned to the Premier League in the future.

“If he comes back over into the Premier League at 33, 34, I would still… He signed a four-year deal, by the way. I would still back him to score, if he’s playing for one of the big boys, 20 goals a season. I’d still back him to score 20 goals a season,” the former goalkeeper said on Fozcast – The Ben Foster Podcast.
“If you put him in, even in a year or two, if you put him in Arsenal’s team, if you put him in Man City’s team, if you put him in Liverpool’s team… Oh, score 20 goals.”
It remains to be seen if Kane returns to England to try and surpass Alan Shearer’s record as the Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer and if he does, there is no evidence to suggest that the 32-year-old would not continue where he left off at Tottenham.

How does Harry Kane compare to Man City’s Erling Haaland
Kane netted 30 goals during his final season at Tottenham and that was a regular occurrence for the England international in North London.
BBC pundit Pat Nevin believes Kane would have scored more goals than Haaland had he moved to Man City in 2021 and based on the last three years, there is a good chance that may have happened.
| Player | Games | Goals | Assists |
| Erling Haaland | 138 | 120 | 20 |
| Harry Kane | 138 | 112 | 30 |
The stats between the pair are very close, although there are some other factors to consider, such as the Premier League being of a higher standard than the Bundesliga.
However, that should not diminish the achievements of Kane, as the 31-year-old is an elite player and wherever he goes, the striker will do his job and score goals at a high rate.
