It seems like a certain player’s future remains uncertain at Manchester City.

So far, the likes of Ederson Moraes, Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez have primarily been linked with moves elsewhere.

In De Bruyne’s case, Pep Guardiola confirmed last week that he will stay at City.

As for Ederson, it was claimed last Thursday that the Manchester City goalkeeper is keener on a move to another European club but he is aware that only Saudi Pro League clubs will perhaps be open to meeting the Sky Blues’ £50.1 million valuation.

Furthermore, the Brazilian shotstopper admitted that his future remains undecided.

Alvarez’s future at Manchester City, in similar fashion to Ederson remains unclear — especially as he is currently playing at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Fabrizio Romano shares what he knows about Julian Alvarez and Man City

On Thursday, it was reported that Alvarez is ready to leave City as he targets more playing time while the player and his family would like to play in a country that promises a warmer climate.

The report also claimed that Manchester City are demanding suitors to pay an initial fee of £60 million followed by £17 million in add-ons; a fee that an interested club like Atletico Madrid are not prepared to stump up for his signature.

With around a month left in the summer transfer window, however, there is still plenty of time for a club to swoop in and sign the £100,000-a-week man.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed on X that this week, Alvarez and Manchester City “will discuss again” where his future lies.

High-time for Man City and Julian Alvarez to arrive to a conclusion

While Alvarez is expected not to be play for Manchester City anytime soon due to his involvement at both the Copa America and the Olympics, his future must be finalised imminently.

The 24-year-old is an important player for City and when he has a conversation regarding his intentions for the summer window, it would be ideal for both parties to arrive to a conclusion.

Whether Alvarez decides to stay or leave the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City must ensure they either keep him and focus on the season or find a suitor to agree to their fee demands as well as a replacement for him.

Both parties’ approach and the conclusion will be interesting to discover.
