Manchester City seem to be open to getting some of their players out of the door in the final days of the transfer window — whether that is on loan or permanently.
On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano reported that Joao Cancelo was closing in on move to Al Hilal — a transfer that has since been announced by City on X.
It was also claimed on Wednesday that Matheus Nunes’ exit is not ruled out by Manchester City.
Atletico Madrid are looking to sign Nunes on loan this campaign.
As one of the best-run clubs in the world, Manchester City seemingly ensure every summer that all their business, both in terms of incomings and outgoings is executed in the same transfer window.
Until the business side of a club is well-conducted, their on-pitch success could be at risk and Pep Guardiola’s side ensure that is not the case.

Romano shares what he knows about Man City’s Issa Kabore and Benfica
Issa Kabore is one player whose future at City has been a mystery.
Pep Guardiola recently admitted via BeanymanSports that the 23-year-old could be a part of his side’s first-team squad this season.
“Maybe. Training really good and he helps us in the positions, like sometimes, we need it. Yeah, maybe but we have to decide. Not already decided.”
However, with Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis at the club, the £378,846-a-week man already has two starting right-backs at his disposal apart from the Burkina Faso international.
But Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Kabore’s future, as he used his catchphrase, ‘Here we go’ to claim that he is set to join Benfica on a season-long loan.
There is no option to buy in the deal involving the highly-rated defender and his wages are expected to be covered by the Portuguese giants — with the deal also believed to be agreed.

Issa Kabore could boost Man City first-team chances with great loan spell
If Kabore indeed heads out on loan to Benfica, one of his biggest motivations will be to impress to boost his chances of becoming a senior player at Manchester City next season.
With Walker turning 34 in May, the Sky Blues loanee has a chance of usurping him if he shows promise in Portugal.
Moreover, Kabore has already showcased that he is Premier League-ready during his encouraging loan stint at Luton Town last season.
The Manchester City defender started in 21 league games for Rob Edwards’ side during the 2023/2024 campaign.
However, the challenges that come with playing for the now-Championship club and Manchester City are vastly different.
Kabore is a traditional right-back — known to bomb forward, stay out wide and being solid in defensive situations.
Playing in Portugal could hand Kabore the required experience of first-team football, a top league and a different style of play to potentially fight for a starting berth at City next season.
