Despite only being 21, Jamal Musiala is one of the best players in the world.

Musiala has managed to shine at every stage that has been provided to them.

The youngster is one of Bayern Munich’s best players and has been fundamental to how they play.

In the Champions League as well, Musiala has largely looked like the real deal.

While for Germany in both the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024, the former Chelsea technician was arguably their standout performer.

Last Wednesday, it was reported that Manchester City are “tracking” Musiala currently.

Romano reveals Musiala to Man City transfer latest

On Tuesday, it was claimed that Pep Guardiola is a “big fan” of Musiala and City hope to sign him next year with the hope of such a move convincing their legendary manager to extend his contract beyond 2025.

It was also stated that Musiala and Wirtz are City’s primary targets next summer.

However, Bayern Munich are not known to be a selling club.

Vincent Kompany’s side would also ideally like to keep one of the best young players in Europe.

Fabrizio Romano initially revealed on his YouTube channel the measures Bayern are taking to ensure Musiala signs a contract extension beyond 2026.

Romano said: “They already presented a new contract proposal to Jamal Musiala. There is already a conversation, there is already a kind of negotiation, it’s not a fast one. So, it’s not something that will be resolved tonight or tomorrow.”

“But there is a conversation, there is an exchange, Bayern are ready to offer really important money to Jamal Musiala in terms of fixed salary, in terms of add-ons, in terms of special bonuses, to make it happen and to keep him at the club.”

The Italian journalist added: “Current contract expires in summer 2026 so Bayern have to resolve this situation before summer 2025 so next summer, because otherwise, could be kind of dangerous to keep a player like Musiala with one year left on his contract.”

“So, Bayern are on it, Bayern are pushing and this is a crucial mission for this project.”

Fabrizio Romano went on to reveal that in case Musiala decides against extending his contract at Bayern, Manchester City will jump at the chance of securing his services in the summer of 2025.

“Then, always receive many questions, maybe about Real Madrid, maybe about Man City, many other clubs. Guys, I can guarantee you that all the top clubs, including these, including Real Madrid, including Man City, including more clubs in England, they all love Jamal Musiala.”

“And in case, he can’t agree a deal with Bayern, they will be there, for sure, not just Real Madrid, not just Manchester City, many clubs. But at the moment, Bayern are playing their cards, Bayern are in negotiations with Musiala so let’s wait, let’s see what happens, how this conversation will go.”

Jamal Musiala could be an instant hit in a Man City shirt

If Manchester City do manage to sign Musiala, he could be an instant hit at the Etihad Stadium.

The highly-rated attacker is arguably the best dribbler in Europe and is able to dart past players from any area of the pitch.

As a result, Musiala could give Pep Guardiola the tactical flexibility to deploy him both as a midfielder and out wide — where he has played in the past as well.

Despite his slight frame, the German talisman has displayed that he has the physicality to ride challenges — a trait that will need in his locker if he made a move to the Premier League.

Furthermore, Musiala would also thrive learning from attacking midfielders of the calibre of Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden.

With Manchester City being a superior team to Bayern for the past few years as well, the Stuttgart-born maverick could look like an even bigger threat.
