Manchester City fans might be hoping that Pep Guardiola’s side start moving players on and add more fresh faces to their squad this summer.
With Manchester City having 17 non-homegrown players, which is the maximum a club can have according to Premier League and Champions League regulations, they are in somewhat of a sticky situation currently.
Ederson Moraes committed his future to Manchester City after being linked with an exit for weeks but had he left, the Brazilian would have helped ease the Sky Blues in their ongoing predicament.
However, journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has revealed that Galatasaray have made an enquiry to sign Ederson, who is open to leaving Manchester City if his salary demands are met.
City fans have responded to the revelation by expressing their delight as they believe it is time for the club legend to depart the Etihad Stadium.

One fan demanded Manchester City to sanction Ederson’s sale to Galatasaray as soon as possible as in his view, the goalkeeping department requires an upgrade: “I don’t think we have time to waste. If [Rayan] Cherki gets to play immediately after KDB’s [Kevin De Bruyne] departure, no excuses for the GK department He wants to leave, I hope he leaves. Nothing against him but we move on.”
Another supporter was delighted about the news, urging Hugo Viana to sell the legendary goalkeeper, writing: “Oh my God, we’ve got our first Ederson rumour. Viana, please do me a favour.”
A third Manchester City fan pleaded with Galatasaray to sign Ederson, who Shay Given called “special” as well, stating: “Please you will be doing us a massive favour. Don’t get me wrong, Ederson has been wonderful for us but IMO [in my opinion], it’s time for a change now.”
A fourth Sky Blues fan was worried about the goalkeeping situation at the club, considering Manchester City News exclusively revealed Stefan Ortega could leave Pep Guardiola’s side as well: “Is it really a good idea to keep two ‘keepers who both have one foot out the door though? It’s important for a ‘keeper to be fully tuned in and neither seems to be right now…dangerous game to play.”
Another City supporter reacted to the news by also naming the three other players who should leave, saying: “Gundo, Bernardo [Silva], [Manuel] Akanji, you’re next.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan suspected that if the Sky Blues were to sell Ederson to Galatasaray, they would demand £25 million, writing: “Well, we aren’t going to sell at this stage for less than £25m regardless of contract. That’s a lot on top of some wild salary in Turkey.”
While the former Benfica shotstopper’s status as City legend is set in stone, it seems like the supporters would like an upgrade to be brought in.

After his woeful showing against Al-Hilal, Manchester City demanded Ederson to be sold and Galatasaray could be ready to grant them their wish.
If Ederson did leave City, his eight-season run as a Sky Blues player would come to an end.
Diogo Costa had agreed to join Manchester City.
Whether the English giants decide to reignite their interest in the Porto number one remains to be seen.
