Kieran Gibbs suggests Julian Alvarez to reject Bayern Munich loan transfer in favour of Manchester City stay

As Bayern have seemingly come sniffing around for his signature on a temporary basis, Kieran Gibbs has said that if he was Julian Alvarez, he would simply stay at Manchester City.

“I’m in the same camp [as Frank LeBouef]. He just showed so much quality last season, I think when he stepped up, when [Erling] Haaland wasn’t playing. So, I would stay. I would stay for another year and see how it goes.”
Kieran Gibbs elaborated on why Julian Alvarez should prefer staying at Manchester City than joining Bayern, saying, “He’s probably going to be up there again for winning however many trophies on all fronts for City. It’s not easy when you’re following someone like Haaland but every time he stepped up last season, he was just so prolific. So yeah, I don’t think City are just going to let him go like that.”

Pep Guardiola’s stay for the next two years is another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the youngster to learn as much as he can from him and adapt into the side in a deeper role, where he has thrived in the past.
