The agent of Alphonso Davies has said that ‘only a select few’ clubs can sign the defender this summer, and said that he’s now had some contact with other clubs about the star.
The full-back has tended to be the number one pick at left-back at Bayern Munich over the years.
After signing for the club for just under £19 million all-in in 2018 from the Vancouver Whitecaps, Davies has developed into one of the world’s best full-backs.
He’s known for his very exciting attacking style and searing pace.
Davies was loosely linked with a move to City a few weeks ago. It was claimed that City sporting director Txiki Begiristain personally wants the 22-year-old.
Davies’ agent made some comments recently to suggest Davies could be open to leaving. And he has now made some more.
Alphonso Davies could leave Bayern but only a select few clubs will be able to get him, says agent
Interestingly, Nick Huoseh has now stated that he has actually been in contact with other clubs about Davies.
But he does add that there hasn’t been anything too ‘deep’ yet.
He said (as quoted by AS): “I’ve spoken to other clubs, they’ve texted us and spoken to us. But we haven’t had any deep conversations. He has two years left on his contract.

“We don’t know what will happen a year from now. Anything is possible, he could stay at Bayern for his entire career or move. He’s happy at Bayern.
“He has won several titles and is a good club, one of the best in the world. There aren’t many clubs I can go to. Only a select few can sign a player like Alphonso Davies.”
Bayern signing Raphael Guerreiro may open the door for Manchester City to sign Alphonso Davies
Davies has just played a prominent role in Bayern winning another league title. It is Davies’ fifth.
But he potentially now faces a fight for minutes if he stays at the Allianz Arena.
It has been reported that the Bavarian giants are going to sign Raphael Guerreiro, who is leaving Borussia Dortmund as a free agent.

Guerreiro, who was actually linked with City this week, could definitely be an issue for Davies.
So maybe City will see an opportunity here, given the comments of the player’s agent.
Perhaps some kind of swap deal involving Joao Cancelo could be done, since Bayern did not want to trigger the £60 million buy option they had on him.
