Manchester City fans have not had a lot to cheer about this season.

Pep Guardiola’s squad have endured a tough campaign, having gone the whole term without a trophy, and as a result, change is coming this summer, with Man City set to sign four or five new players.

This will add to the acquisitions the Manchester club made in January as the Premier League giants saw four players arrive at the Etihad Stadium in Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis.

Marmoush has impressed Guardiola and Man City fans the most out of the new arrivals, with the Egyptian set to play a key part in how the Spaniard’s team perform next season.

The Premier League have just made an announcement related to the forward, and it has Man City fans ‘buzzing’ for him.

Omar Marmoush wins the Premier League’s Goal of the Season

Marmoush has been a big hit since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt in January, with the 26-year-old producing eight goals and three assists across 22 games for the Manchester club.

The best of his strikes in a sky blue shirt came at a crucial time in Man City’s push to qualify for the Champions League this season as the Egyptian scored a rocket in the Manchester club’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth, which has now been awarded the Premier League’s Goal of the Season.

Don Hutchison said Marmoush’s goal against Bournemouth was something Kevin De Bruyne would do, which says it all about the quality of the strike.

Man City fans have not had a lot to get excited about this season, which is one reason why the Manchester fanbase are delighted for the Egyptian star’s achievement.

Man City fans react to Omar Marmoush winning the Premier League’s Goal of the Season

Since the Premier League announced Marmoush’s goal against Bournemouth as the winner on Saturday morning, Man City fans have been reacting to the news.

One City supporter wrote: “Well deserved for sure. I am buzzing for him honestly!”

A second Man City fan reacted with: “As expected, there was no better goal the whole season.”

Finally, a third fan stated: “Deserved. He’s not even been in the league for 6 months, and I already adore this guy.”

The Premier League can expect a lot more of this from Marmoush throughout the 2025/26 campaign as the 26-year-old will now look to kick on after experiencing the best season of his career.
