Manchester City fans could see several club legends leave over the coming weeks.
The Premier League giants are currently working on trimming down Pep Guardiola’s squad as the legendary coach has made it clear he does not want to work with a large group during the upcoming campaign.
That could see Ilkay Gundogan leave Man City before the transfer window shuts, while the future of John Stones remains up in the air, given his injury issues over the past 12 months.
One City legend is closer to an exit than the others, and commenting on this possibility, former Man City star Nedum Onuoha does not want to see the player leave the Etihad Stadium.

Nedum Onuoha does not want to see Ederson leave Man City
Galatasaray are pushing to sign Ederson before the 25/26 campaign gets underway next month, with the Brazilian believed to have agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants.
Once a transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs, Man City will move for Burnley’s James Trafford, and a deal for the Englishman could be done within the next week or two.
Speaking about this transfer scenario, Onuoha has stated that he does not want to see Ederson leave City, as the positives the goalkeeper brings to Guardiola’s side outweigh any negatives.
“I like Ederson, you know. I think some people rightly point out some of the mistakes and stuff that he’s made, but I think what he’s changed since he’s been at Man City is that he’s transformed the way that they’ve played football,” the pundit said on ESPN FC.
“He’s transformed the way that they’ve made attacks. You know, this guy’s got five, six Premier League assists, whatever the number is.
“Somebody who people don’t really want to go and press anymore because they know how good he is on the ball. And I think for James Trafford coming in, he can be a fantastic shot-stopper. But I think that ability on the ball is something which at times can define City.
“And yes, he could make a mistake every now and again, but the positives for me far outweigh the negatives. So I’ve been reluctant to see him leave. But if James Trafford comes in, then I suppose just try to build on that legacy, I guess.”
Steve Nicol disagrees with Onuoha’s points, and at present, Man City fans would side with the former Liverpool defender.

Steve Nicol thinks Ederson makes too many mistakes
Ederson has been on the decline for some time now, and Man City fans are open to the club legend leaving this summer, which they made clear after the 31-year-old’s mistakes in the Manchester club’s FIFA Club World Cup exit to Al-Hilal.
Nicol disagreed with Onuoha wanting to keep the Brazil international for another season, with the ESPN pundit stating that Ederson could have helped Man City more last season by making some big saves.
“I find that strange. We’re talking about passing here. We’re talking about passing here. What are goalkeepers there for?” Nicol said.
“Exactly, to save the ball. And when was the last time Ederson made a big save that changed anything? All of those games that were ridiculous, where they were going ahead, sometimes two or three goals ahead, and let it all go.
“If Ederson had made some saves, they could have avoided all that.”
