Petr Cech believes Ederson Moraes is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world.
Unsurprisingly, the treble-winner seems to be revered by fellow players and pundits.
In January, Real Madrid talisman Jude Bellingham described the 30-year-old as a “top goalie.”
At the start of the year, Danny Murphy claimed that the £35 million (The Independent) man was the greatest-ever goalkeeper with the ball at his feet.
Petr Cech says Ederson is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world
Heurelho Gomes believes Ederson is a “more complete” goalkeeper than Alisson Becker.
If given a choice between the two, the former Tottenham number one revealed he would start the Manchester City shotstopper for Brazil.
When quizzed about which goalkeeper he thinks is the best in the world, Petr Cech named Ederson as one of his candidates.

“I think there’s a competition between Alisson, Ederson, [Thibaut] Courtois”, he said on Sky Sports.
As the Chelsea legend was pushed to pick the best out of the lot, he replied, “Okay, this season, Courtois was injured, I’ll go with Alisson.”
Ederson is certainly up there
Being one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, the fact that Petr Cech rates Ederson as highly as he does is an indicator of how jaw-dropping his displays have been for Manchester City over the years.
But of course, football is a game full of opinions and as a result, it is difficult to reach a conclusion about who is the best goalkeeper in the world.
Alisson and Thibaut Courtois have been instrumental for both Liverpool and Real Madrid respectively, especially in terms of the number of saves they have to make week in, and week out.
But there is a case to be made for Ederson to be more key to Pep Guardiola’s system at the Etihad Stadium than the aforementioned pair.
As a result, while it is a challenge to pick which goalkeeper stands above the rest, what can be agreed upon is that the five-time Premier League winner is certainly in the conversation to be regarded as the best in the business.
