Manchester City could put themselves in a favourable position to sign one of Euro 2024’s standout performers — Dani Olmo.
It was revealed on Wednesday that Pep Guardiola has been interested in the fellow Spaniard’s signature since last year.
Furthermore, a report claimed on Tuesday that after witnessing Olmo’s heroics in Spain’s 2-1 victory against Germany, Manchester City were considering the prospect of signing him.
However, clubs in England and Spain are closely looking at July 15 — the date when the RB Leipzig attacker’s £50.6 million release clause expires as one where they could pull the trigger and sign him.

Man City could sign Euro 2024 star Dani Olmo even after July 15
If a club does trigger Olmo’s release clause, Manchester City’s desire to seemingly sign him could become an unfulfilled ambition in the 2024 summer transfer window.
But for now, it seems the race to secure the Spanish international’s services is open.
As per a report by Sky Sports Germany, RB Leipzig are willing to discuss the prospect of selling Olmo even after his release clause expires with potential suitors like Manchester City.
However, the German club insist that they will only do business if an interested club in question is willing to pay a fee that coincides with his fair market value.
So far, Manchester City amongst other clubs are yet to contact RB Leipzig over making a move for Olmo.
Hope for Manchester City in Dani Olmo race
It seems like City can take their time and decide whether they wish to pursue the former Dinamo Zagreb attacker’s signature.
Ultimately, the Sky Blues do not seem run in a way whether they will take any transfer decision in a haphazard manner.
The price that would come with paying more than £50.6 million to sign Olmo is one that is worth taking rather than triggering his release clause and regretting the decision if he does not fit Guardiola’s plans.
Only time will tell whether Manchester City wish to blow away their competition and sign the in-form technician by Monday or bide their time.
