It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in pulling off a transfer for Manchester City-linked starlet Gabri Veiga.

This comes from Le10Sport, after it was claimed at the end of June that City were in the race for the Spaniard’s signature, who has a £34 million release clause in his contract.

Now, however, Manchester City face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, who also dream of signing Gabri Veiga.

Just less than two weeks ago, it was claimed that the treble-winners were still waiting to decide whether they intended to ramp up their efforts to sign the Celta Vigo midfielder.

However, there seemed to be a twist in the tale, as per a report last Thursday that claimed that PSG were closing in on his signature.

Now, it has been reported that first things first, Tottenham have also entered the race to sign Manchester City target Gabri Veiga.

The other Premier League clubs also showing an interest in the 21-year-old are Arsenal and Chelsea.

To add to that, PSG sporting director Luis Campos has come to the decision that the club should steer clear of the youngster, branded as ‘special’ by Carlo Ancelotti.

Manchester City are the clear favourites for his signature

Firstly, it does seem like Manchester City, Tottenham and even potentially Chelsea will be in the hunt to sign the youngster.

With Arsenal having signed Kai Havertz and with Martin Odegaard being yet another option for them behind the striker, it seems improbable that they would try to bring in the highly-rated talent.

In any case, City would be the best-placed side to sign Veiga, if they decided to step up their interest, having just come off the back of a treble-winning campaign and with Guardiola at their disposal for two more years at least,

While the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal have exciting projects, the blue side of Manchester boasts of one of the best teams of all time.
