Manchester City have recently been linked with a move for former winger Leroy Sane – and some fans have given their reactions to the rumours.
Last week, it was suggested by BILD journalist Christian Falk that City were genuinely keen on signing Sane next summer, having sold the player to Bayern Munich in 2020.
City cashed in on Sane, who had spent four great years at the club, and a lot of fans were disappointed to see him leave at the time.
Because Sane was a thrilling player to watch, with his speed and dribbling making him a complete nightmare for defenders to try and keep tabs on. The trio of him, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero is undoubtedly one of the most frightening attacks the Premier League has ever seen.
Sane left City to join Bayern for a fee that may well have reached £52 million by now. In the last couple of years or so, the Germany international has really established himself at the Allianz Arena, and this term he’s been superb, scoring nine goals in 17 games and providing seven assists.
Even though he left City, there has long been a feeling within the fanbase that the winger still loves the club. He has always spoken warmly about City and has been back to Manchester several times as a Bayern player.
As a result, some fans have talked up a potential return to the Etihad for Sane in recent months and years.
Now, the player has actually been linked with a move back to City, although it’s been reported a move is now ‘unlikely’. Liverpool are also said to be keen.

Many feel he is someone who could actually really fit into this current squad, given Pep Guardiola has added a few more dribbles and ball carriers in recent times.
It may not be too likely, but there is definitely something intriguing about him returning as a more mature player…
