It has been reported that Manchester City attacker Bernardo Silva has offered himself to Barcelona.
This comes from journalist Gerard Romero on Jijantes FC, as the £43 million (BBC Sport) man recently admitted that he remains undecided about his future at the Etihad Stadium.
Now, it seems like Manchester City fan favourite Bernardo Silva has informed Barcelona of his desire to sign for them this summer.
Gerard Romero: Bernardo Silva has offered himself to Barcelona
For the past couple of summer transfer windows, it has been a case of the Portuguese international, branded as ‘special’ by Pep Guardiola constantly linked with moves elsewhere.
For instance, apart from Xavi’s side, Al Hilal seem keen on signing the 28-year-old as well, with the player himself giving the club a go-ahead to kickstart talks, as per a report on Monday.
Similarly, even PSG have reportedly targeted the treble-winner as a part of their summer rebuild.
Now, Gerard Romero has revealed that Bernardo Silva has offered himself to Barcelona, as he aims to finally seal an exit away from Manchester City.

However, a deal is considered impossible, as the Spanish giants remain cash-strung, as was the case last summer.
Manchester City should block an exit after a point
If Barcelona can muster up the finances to sign Bernardo Silva shortly, it is expected that Manchester City would accept the move.
After all, it is publicly known that if a player eyes a departure from City, he is allowed to leave without any hesitation, as long as the club bank a satisfactory fee from the suitor in question.
However, as the Sky Blues begin pre-season later this month, if any club that are keen on signing Bernardo Silva do not get a deal done quickly, it would be advisable to block the move for multiple reasons.
First things first, bringing in a replacement for one of the club’s most vital players within a short period of time is far from ideal.
Furthermore, any fresh face that is signed in order to succeed Bernardo should be granted enough time as well to learn the Pep Guardiola way.
Finally, while City’s policy in relation to sales is admirable, they should put their foot down at times and block certain moves, as the club’s first priority should always be to avoid approving of any step that could affect their progress.
