It seems like Savinho will have to shift his focus towards spending the 2025/2026 season on becoming a star at Manchester City after being heavily linked with an exit in the past few weeks.
Manchester City are blocking Savinho’s move to Tottenham, with an unnamed high-profile figure in their boardroom believed not to be keen on his departure.
With Oscar Bobb turning heads with his sparkling showing against Wolves, the Brazilian international will have competition to contend with at the Etihad Stadium.
However, as things stand, Savinho is nursing an injury and he will be hoping to return to the pitch with a point to prove.

Tottenham eye Maghnes Akliouche as Savinho alternative
Whether Savinho is buoyed by potentially staying at Manchester City or continues to fancy a move to Tottenham remains to be seen. After all, Savinho was keen on joining Spurs.
However, the Sky Blues have decided to keep the 21-year-old and as a result, Manchester City’s move for Rodrygo is considered off.
The Independent have now reported that Tottenham are targeting Maghnes Akliouche as the alternative to Savinho.

Spurs felt Manchester City’s asking price for Savinho was far too expensive and as a result, they have decided to pursue a move for the AS Monaco attacker.
The truth behind Man City’s interest in signing Maghnes Akliouche
Pep Guardiola’s men have also been linked with the 23-year-old.
However, Manchester City dismissed their links to Akliouche last week.
Fabrizio Romano broke the story and claimed: “Manchester City play down reports on Maghnes Akliouche or similar options as no talks are taking place. Plan remains clear: if Savinho joins Spurs, Man City want to try for Rodrygo.”
However, it seems like Savinho is now set to stay at Manchester City as Tottenham’s focus is to bring Akliouche in to bolster Thomas Frank’s attack.
