The future of Ederson at Manchester City remains up in the air.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium, and Pep Guardiola has already stated that Ederson will stay for the 2025/26 campaign.
This came after interest in the 31-year-old last summer from Saudi Arabia, while it was reported in June that Ederson remains open to a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Despite Guardiola’s words, the goalkeeper could leave City this summer, but a £65m transfer may have a big impact on where the Brazil international ends up.

Galatasaray close to agreeing £65m deal for Victor Osimhen
It was reported this week that Galatasaray are interested in signing Ederson, as the Turkish giants are looking to strengthen their side significantly this summer.
A £2.5m bid arrived from Galatasaray for Ederson on Friday, and that offer gives a hint at where the Turkish club are at financially, as they close in on a major signing in Victor Osimhen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray and Napoli are finalising details of the Osimhen deal with £35m (€40m) to be paid this summer and the other £30m (€35m) paid in one year.
The final details are currently being negotiated to get the deal done, as the sell-on clause is yet to be agreed.
This deal will have a major impact on Galatasaray’s ability to sign Ederson, as Man City will want more than the £2.5m already offered.
The Manchester club wanted £40m for the Brazilian last summer, and although they won’t receive that over the coming weeks, the Premier League giants will be aiming for between £10m-£20m.
The good news for Man City is that the Osimhen transfer fee doesn’t only have an impact on Ederson, as if the Turkish side can get a deal done for the goalkeeper, they definitely won’t be coming back for two more members of Guardiola’s squad.
Galatasaray want Manuel Akanji and Ilkay Gündoğan
Galatasaray also enquired about Manuel Akanji in recent days, as the Super Lig champions are keen on signing the defender ahead of the new season; however, the Turkish club need the Swiss star to accept a wage cut before approaching Man City with an official bid.
Ilkay Gündoğan is also on Galatasaray’s list, and it was even reported last month that the midfielder has already agreed personal terms.
The Turkish giants are a dream club for the 34-year-old, as it is the team he grew up supporting as a boy, but it is unlikely to happen this summer.
It would be a dream for Galatasaray to sign the trio of Man City players, and maybe they could have if a move for Osimhen hadn’t been made.
However, the Nigerian star was an opportunity they could not turn down, and as a result, their financial situation will only allow the Super Lig side to sign one City player this summer, if that is even possible.
