Manchester City are keen to offload players over the coming weeks.

Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips are not expected to be in Manchester before the new season gets underway next month, while Man City’s main focus at present is to offload James McAtee.

There is another group of players that Pep Guardiola hopes to keep at City for the new season; however, if a suitable offer arrives, the Premier League giants will consider accepting it.

Friday has been a busy day on the transfer front for the Manchester club, as Galatasaray are showing interest in Manuel Akanji, and the Turkish club have also submitted a £2.5m (€3m) bid for another Man City star.

Galatasaray submit £2.5m bid for Ederson

Reports out of Turkey on Friday stated that Galatasaray have submitted a bid for Ederson as the Turkish giants have been keen on the Man City goalkeeper throughout the current transfer window.

The figure remained unknown; however, L’Equipe are reporting that Galatasaray have offered the Manchester club just £2.5m (€3m) for their number one goalkeeper.

Ederson is out of contract at the end of this season, but even considering that, Man City are very unlikely to accept this proposal.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium since last summer, as Al-Nassr had strong interest in Ederson, but the transfer never occurred as the two clubs could not reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

According to ESPN, Man City wanted £40m to sell the 31-year-old a year ago, and although they will not get close to that this summer, £2.5m will be viewed as a very low offer by the Premier League giants.

Man City fans angry with ‘disrespectful’ Galatasaray bid

Man City fans are happy for Ederson to be sold this summer as they are aware that the Brazilian star is in decline; however, supporters of the Manchester club are having none of Galatasaray’s bid for their goalkeeper.

One Man City fan commented on the offer for Ederson on X (formerly known as Twitter) by stating: “We know he’s finished, but €3mil is very disrespectful.”

Another supporter of the Manchester club would comment on the transfer news by saying: “The disrespect is too much around here.”

A final Man City fan would add: “If City submits €3M for any of their players, would they accept?”

It remains to be seen where the transfer goes from here and if Galatasaray are willing to go higher for the Man City star.
