Manchester City seem to be working diligently behind the scenes to make their summer signings, and it looks like some of them could be officially announced very soon.

Tijjani Reijnders has agreed to join Manchester City and the Dutchman looks like he could be the Sky Blues’ first addition of the summer.

As for Rayan Ait-Nouri, Manchester City are finalising the terms before they can strike a deal to sign him.

Rayan Cherki discussed Pep Guardiola’s system and claimed he would succeed under any setup while addressing his links to City, which further indicates that a move could be imminent.

Amid City’s pursuits of Reijnders, Ait-Nouri and Cherki, it seems like their initial interest in Morgan Gibbs-White has cooled.

Man City unlikely to sign Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

At one point, Gibbs-White seemed destined to join Manchester City, with the Nottingham Forest squad expecting him to seal a move to the Etihad Stadium.

So much so that Pep Guardiola spoke to Gibbs-White after his side beat Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup semi-final last season.

However, journalist Alex Crook has revealed that with Manchester City closing in on Reijnders’ addition, it is “unlikely” that they make a move for the Englishman.

Manchester City believed Gibbs-White was overpriced, as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side value him at £70 million but even then, he was on their shortlist but things seem to have changed.

Morgan Gibbs-White targeted by new Premier League club

Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed on the Chelsea Central podcast on Playback TV that Enzo Maresca’s side appreciate the 25-year-old.

“Nothing to get excited about yet, but a new name I’m hearing is Morgan Gibbs White. Chelsea internally appreciate him but nothing more at this stage.”

Ultimately, Manchester City might not be too bothered about Chelsea’s interest, considering Reijnders confirmed he has spoken to Nathan Ake about joining the English giants.
