While Manchester City look set to bring in several fresh faces into their roster, they still have work to do from an outgoings standpoint to successfully rebuild their squad.

Kevin De Bruyne is set to join Napoli but apart the Belgian, no high-profile names have left City.

Kyle Walker will likely depart Manchester City as well but ultimately, the Sky Blues have not particularly missed the 34-year-old for the past couple of months as they qualified for the Champions League while he was on loan at AC Milan.

However, it seems likely that more big names will leave in the next few weeks, with Bernardo Silva being one of the other high-profile players who has been linked with an exit.

Al-Hilal shortlist Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva

Bernardo hinted he could stay at Manchester City in March by admitting that he hopes his journey at the Etihad Stadium “doesn’t stop.”

However, Manchester City reportedly wish to sell Bernardo in the summer.

Journalist Santi Aouna has revealed that Al-Hilal have added the Portuguese international to their summer transfer shortlist.

However, the Saudi Pro League club are yet to submit an official bid to sign the 31-year-old.

Bernardo Silva has already named the club he wants to join

The Saudi Pro League have eyed Bernardo for ages, with their interest stretching back to 2023.

However, Bernardo, who joined Manchester City for £43 million has always ended up staying at the Sky Blues despite being linked with an exit in the past on several occasions.

In 2023, the six-time Premier League winner discussed his future.

Bernardo expressed his desire to return to Benfica but also admitted at the time that his next move depended on the offers on the table.

The Manchester City technician revealed: “I don’t know how long I’ll be fine. I’m 28, 29 in the summer, and [there are] two more years on my Manchester City contract.”

“My contract would end at 31. I won’t hide that my goal in recent years, if something good happens elsewhere, will probably be to move to a new project.”

Bernardo, who Pep Guardiola lauded and named as one of the best players he has ever coached also stated: “Going to a new project at 29, I’ll only finish this contract probably at 34. If you ask me: what did you think 10 years ago? My goal was to return to Benfica at 32 at most. What do I think today? It depends on next summer.”
